'SINDSRO'
- a beautiful Danish word meaning
‘PEACE OF MIND'.
ABOUT
The pace of life we’ve been thrust into isn’t natural, healthy, or sustainable. Stress is ruining our lives.
~ We’re pull-our-hair-out frustrated with being told that we’re stressed because we’re too busy or can’t cope.
~ Fed up with being told to suck it up and tough it out.
~ Over beating ourselves into the earth to fulfil our bosses, friends, families, or society's expectations of us.
And totally done with putting ourselves last.

I believe we deserve something more in life than relentless pace, pressure and chaos and that's why I am here to help you give stress the ULTIMATE finger. To show you how to build resilience in a relentless world.

We want and deserve more. We crave something with substance and depth that works with our mind, body & life to support our health and happiness. But we are busy. Too damn busy! And, the idea of adding something to our list - regardless of how good it might be for us, can, quite frankly, feel overwhelming. But, the catch is - to feel, think or GET something different. You have to DO something different. There's no way around it.

I believe wellbeing practices should be an accompaniment to your life. They should enhance your life - they shouldn't have to BE your life...unless you want them to. So, I created SINDSRO - which means ‘Peace of Mind’ in Danish - to bring a fresh new approach to meditation, breathwork, mindfulness and stress management.

Driven by neuroscience, fusing mind-body practices, philosophy, and global principles of wellbeing in a way that is accessible, relevant to now, and adaptable to you. I want to make wellbeing practical, simple & effective. And make REAL - internal, nervous-system-deep - self-care as common sense as hitting the gym.

IT ALL BEGINS AND ENDS WITH YOU.
Maybe you want to feel less anxious, find your purpose or feel more calm and focussed. Maybe you've been feeling lost and need some clarity so you can make those big life pivots you know are needed. Or maybe you want to tap into more creativity, self-love and worthiness so you feel like you deserve all the good things you are working for and self-sabotage less. Background
My Story
I was sitting on the bus in London, on my way to work, eyelids hitting the floor with exhaustion but electricity wired tightly in my chest. 2018 was the culmination of never-ending days on edge and under pressure with dread jabbing my gut.
I hated my job.

Lost and unfulfilled I was stuck on a pressure-cooker hamster wheel I didn’t know how to get off.
And the kicker? My mum had just been diagnosed with terminal cancer. This job that filled me with gut churning anxiety was keeping me from being there for her the way I wanted and needed to.

With stress chauffeuring me to work every day, I'd long relegated myself to the idea that:
-
Not everyone gets to do something they love. Fulfilment, meaning, and purpose in life were a luxury (and for others).
-
Extreme pressure is part of life. Stress is normal - everyone has it - it's my fault if I can't keep up.
-
My values and priorities didn’t matter to society, and therefore, I didn’t matter to society so I shoved them down.
But the fear of losing someone you love will put things into perspective really fucking quick...
My mum's news slapped me around the face so hard it gave me whiplash and the biggest wake-up call I'd ever had.

And on that bus, while trying to choke back tears in public, two things crystallised:
-
This amount of stress, normal or not, is not healthy. Waking up with anxiety, dreading your day and feeling perpetually overwhelmed IS NOT OK.
-
Life is too short to spend it this stressed-out and miserable.
This. Wasn't. Living.

All change starts with a commitment and that's the day I said 'enough:'

Enough playing by everyone else's rules.
Enough trying to 'keep up.'
Enough doing what I think I'm 'supposed' to.
Enough accepting things just because everyone else does.
Enough putting my priorities last.
Enough putting myself on hold.
Enough misery.

Just… enough.

And I made a promise to myself.

I promised myself that I would find a way out of habituated stress. Out of anxiety and overwhelm on a path that works for me. Not one I have to squeeze into or divide myself for. And, that I would be there for my mum. No matter what. Even if I didn’t know how yet.

The fates collided in 2019, when my partner had the chance to take 3 months off work and go travelling with me at a time my mother was stable and doing very well. A dream come true. I needed a break and - with my mum pushing me out the door to take it - I grabbed it with both hands.

On this trip, although deathly afraid of the ocean, I certified as a freediver overcoming a lifelong fear and experienced first-hand the power of a mindful approach to relaxation and stress. It was there, looking out at the bluest seas and brightest Filipino skies, feeling calmer, freer, and closer to myself than ever, I booked onto my first mindfulness certification course… and my purpose formed...

Since then, I have kept both of my promises.

I learned to make some massive life changes:

-
I gave myself time, space, and stillness to connect, listen and trust myself. Every single day. Resulting in more aligned decisions throughout my entire day (and life). I still do.
-
I learned about the mind-body connection, nervous system regulation and introduced daily holistic practices which give me fewer sick days, better focus and more energy.
-
I learned how to be less self-critical and more kind so I give up less and support myself more. Without this I would 100% have sabotaged my happiness and calm the second things got tough.

I quit my 10+ year career, retrained and started in a brand new field. Scary AF, but did it anyway and now I get to help others give stress the finger too.

And just as importantly, I got to stand by mum’s side as she walked her path. I got to hold her hand as she cried, laughed, feared, was courageous, and eventually died. A mother, friend and mentor taken too soon and too young.
On their final breath no one says on “I wish I'd worked more.”

We wish for more time with family and with friends.
We wish we'd had more adventures.
We wish we'd told that special person how much we loved them.
We wish we'd taken more risks...
No. We don't wish that we'd worked more.

We wish that we'd LIVED more...
the way we wanted to.

It's never too late.

Life is short but YOU ARE HERE, right now, and You MATTER. You deserve to feel peace. In mind, body and heart. To stop surviving this life and start living it, on your terms.

The good news is your body wants to return to calm. It’s your natural state. Chronic stress is a man made problem and you don’t have to accept it or ‘push through’. All you have to do is decide that your life is worth the work and discomfort of creating something new, nourishing, and spectacular.

That you are worth it.

Don't wait 'til you get knocked to your knees as I did. Don't waste another moment.

This life is yours.
Take it, now.

I believe in you and I’m here for you!
'On your final breath, no one says "I wish I'd worked more." ...You wish that you'd
LIVED more. The way you wanted to.'
